As the headquarters for ATAFMA, the Fort Collins school is the largest in both student base and facility size. It provides students with one of the largest matted training areas in Northern Colorado and has been teaching high quality martial arts since 2005. ATAFMA is well known within the comunity for for its outstanding facility and instructors.  ATAFMA also has the largest Karate for Kids program in Northern Colorado, which focuses on teaching kids disicipline and respect, while living a healthy, active lifestyle.  Together the instructors of ATAFMA Fort Collins have 40+ years of maratial arts experince.  Every instructor is knowledgable in taekwondo, practical self-defense, pressure point control tactics, and weapons.  Click on an instructor below to find out what they can offer you!

 

 

 

Mr. Taylor Jobe

3rd Degree Black Belt/Certified Instructor

 

Mr. Jobe started his taekwondo training as a Tiny Tiger in 1998 in order to improve his coordination and self-confidence. Since then, Mr. Jobe has earned the title of state champ six separate times and is presently the head instructor at the Fort Collins ATAFMA School. Mr. Jobe's passion for martial arts is exemplified through the students success and their excitement when coming to class.  Mr. Jobe is a constant example of what it means to be a black belt and encourages all students to do their best.  Mr. Jobe is known for his fitness, continuous energy, and excitement for taekwondo.

Mr. Kevin Rogers

5th Degree Black Belt/Certified Instructor

 

ATAFMA Fort Collins is privileged to have Mr. Rogers, one of the region's high ranks and Mr. Overby's Instructor, teach at the school.  Mr. Rogers has an extensive knowledge of martial arts ranging between taekwondo, aikido, and wrestling.  Mr. Rogers has been teaching martial arts for 20 years and provides our students with a unique learning experience.  Mr. Rogers is known for his self-defense abilities and precision of techniques.  Mr. Rogers encourages all students to show discipline in the arts as well as adhere to ATAFMA protocol.

Mrs. Renee Rogers

2nd Degree Black Belt/ Level 2 Instructor

 

Mrs. Rogers is one ATAFMA's adult instructors and enjoys pushing our older students to the next level.  As a certified personal trainer, Mrs. Rogers' unique classes teach students new ways to improve their overall physical fitness.  When not at the school, Mrs. Rogers works full time as a Clinical Program Manager for Northern Colorado Medical Center in the Behavioral Health Department.

Ms. Amanda Kriss

2nd Degree Black Belt/Level 1 Instructor

 

Ms. Kriss specializes in teaching children's classes and is an outstanding example for all our young girls to look up to.  Ms. Kriss is known for her unbelievable flexibility and never-give-up attitude.  Ms. Kriss most recently placed 3rd in the WORLD at World Championships 2011 in Sparring.  She is also a 2011 triple crown State Champion in Forms, Sparring, and Weapons.

Mr. Sam Nigro

2nd Degree Black Belt/ Level 1 Instructor

 

Mr. Nigro specializes in Tiny Tiger and Karate Kid classes.  He is currently a junior at Rocky Mountain HS and aspires to one day be a head instructor at ATAFMA.  Mr. Nigro is known for his fitness and exceptional technique. Mr. Nigro's discipline and attitude prove him to be an outstanding role model for all junior students to follow.

Mrs. Shannon Donnan

1st Degree Black Belt/Level 1 Instructor

 

Mrs. Donnan is one of ATAFMA's adult instructors.  As an adult woman herself, Mrs. Donnan does an exceptional job at working with our adult students, ensuring that each student is doing the proper technique without risk of injury.  Her classes provide an extended focus on stretching and flexibility.

Mr. Brian Kraus

1st Degree Black Belt/ Level 2 Instructor

 

Mr. Kraus is the current program director of ATAFMA.  He began his Taekwondo training in 1998 under the World Taekwondo Federation, where he earned his first degree black belt.  After moving to Fort Collins, CO to attend Colorado State University, Mr. Kraus joined ATAFMA to continue his training under the American Taekwondo Association.  Mr. Kraus has a bachelor's degree in Criminology from Colorado State University and is a former Sergeant in the United State Marine Corps.  Mr. Kraus emphasizes discipline and respect on the floor, while challenging all students to do their best.
